The Stuyahok begins above timberline in rolling tundra uplands south of the proposed Pebble Mine project. It is a really lovely small river and lends itself to relaxed raft travel, great camps, hikes in the uplands, and rewarding fly-fishing. The upper river Grayling population is robust, and as one descends further each mile produces more game-fish species diversity as Chum, Sockeye, and Kings enrich the ecosystem. An excellent choice for a family.
